Seek information on the DERTINGER family of Warren Co, IL. LEVI DERTINGER and wife ANNA (MAGERS) DERTINGER were in the 1910 census for Warren Co., with son Oscar. By 1920, Oscar was a resident of the Peoria State Hospital, and no record is found in the census for Levi or Anna. Levi and Ann married July 1879 in Prairie City, IL. They had children: Fred (b. 1880), Blanch (b. 1886), Oscar (b. 1881) and Mabel (b. 1893). Please e-mail me at MonaNAriz@Aol.COM

Looking for information on William NOAKES who was born on 24 July 1825 in Lincoln co., Ky. He married Mary Elizabeth WOOD(S) there in 1846. By 1855 they had moved to Kirkwood, Warren co., Il. There they had 8 children-Robert (dec child), William (killed in Civil War), Willie, Mary Ellen (married William Garrett PENDARVIS), Mina, Martha (Mattie), Charlie (ran a store in Kirkwood), and David. Mary Elizabeth died on 24 June 1863 in Kirkwood. William then married a widow with 4 children, named Mrs. Minerva REZNER on 17 Nov 1864. They then had 7 children: Josephine (SALTER), Eunice (PHILLIPS), Ameda (STARR), Rebecca (TINKHAM), George, Ira, and Ollie (ACKERMAN) NOAKES. Wiliam NOAKES and 3 of his children, Almeda, George, and Ira all died within about 35 days of each other in 1896. I would like to find out anything about him and possibly who his parents were. Agnes,b. 1847, Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, Scotland; d. 3/18/1925, in Alexis, Illinois. Both are buried in the Alexis Cemetery, Alexis, IL. They were the parents to eight children: Mary Ellen(SMITH), Frank, Henry, Agnes(MCHAHAN), Elizabeth(BAILEY), Nettie, Margaret, and Florence(FARRELL). I am looking for information on Ira F. SMITH, b.9/23/1849, Boone County, Indiana; d. 9/15/1920, in Alexis, Illinois. He was the son of George and Rachel Ann PERKINS SMITH. Ira married Mary Ann SCOTT, 8/22/1878; daughter of Everett O. SCOTT and Margaret PERKINS SCOTT. Mary Ann was b. 5/13/1857, Mercer County, IL and d. 2/4/1933, Alexis, IL. They were the parents of eight children: Grace(MAYFIELD), Harry, Raymond Earl, Infant male, Clyde Scott, Clarence Natley, Emma B.(LEE), and Ina Frances (WADE). Ira F. and Mary Ann Scott Smith, also Everett O. and Margarett Perkins are buried in the Alexis Cemetery, Alexis Illinois. Any and all inforamtion on this family would be greatly appreciated.

John WELLS had a military grant in 1818 S20 T11N R3W. Warren Co, IL. He was in Shurmans/Lurmans Co 40th Reg. of Inf. Private. I assume 1812 War. William WELLS had a military land grant in 1818 S32 T9 R3 Warren Co, Il. He was a Corp. in Fosters Co 6th Reg. of Inf. Do anyone know of these people. I am looking for connections to Chester Wells b. 1796 Burlington, Otsego Co, NY. He came to Warren Co ca 1835.

Eva Bell JOSS was married to William Wilburn MARTIN on March 21, 1893 in Monmouth, IL. Their children were: Mary Lucille MARTIN b. 1896 in Monmouth, Warren Co., IL; Lena A. MARTIN b. 1893 in Monmouth, Warren Co., IL and George Wilbern MARTIN b. October 12, 1898 in Monmouth, Warren Co, IL.
